The Young Living Foundation invests in projects and programs around the world that champion education, end exploitation, and develop enterprise opportunities for women. Every time we purchase the products, we are supporting their powerful work.
It all started with the construction of The Young Living Academy in Ecuador in 2009, when founder Gary Young realized that the children in Chongon (Guayquil), where he established the first Ecuador farm had no school. This is an area at high risk for children dropping out of or never attending school. The Young Living Academy now provides 350 students annually with access to a quality primary and secondary education in a remote town in the tropics of Ecuador.
To date, The Young Living Foundation has impacted over 820,000 individuals, providing funding to over 200 Charities and Causes. And since Young Living, the company pays for all administrative costs of the Young Living Foundation, 100% of all donations provide direct impact. The Young Living Foundation awards capacity building grants to female-led enterprises that provide fair wages to otherwise disenfranchised groups, and whose unique business models generate both monetary profit as well as sizable social returns. Female entrepreneurs make significant contributions to economic growth and poverty reduction across both the developing and developed world. For this reason, they’ve made equipping women with tools and skills to become more financially independent and powerful a key focus of our work. Their unique focus on handcraft stems from this global industry being the second largest employer of women worldwide. They’ve connected with over 15 women-led artisan groups from around the world to build stronger business models through microgrants and connect artisans to mindful consumers within the Young Living global marketplace.

The Young Living Foundation supports self-help groups and community education initiatives so at-risk individuals can protect themselves and their family members from human traffickers. They fund outreach programs, allowing social workers to work in high-risk areas to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking. They help their partners provide victim support, housing, therapy, catch-up education, employment opportunities, and reintegration for victims of exploitation.

The Young Living Foundation funds the building, restoration, and expansion of schools to ensure that access to a safe education is available to as many as possible. They work with partners who help youth stay in school and provide them with the support they need to overcome underachievement. They equip students with tools to drive community change and build self-confidence.
